I was born and raised in Altoona, PA.  When I was seven years of age I made a profession of faith and determined to live my life for Christ.  From seven until 18 I went to church, read my Bible and began learning more about my Savior.  At 18 years of age I entered the US Army and served on active duty in Germany for two years and six additional years in a reserve unit in PA.  At 20 years of age I recall walking an aisle in church and rededicating my life completely to Christ.  It was at this point I decided to allow Christ to direct my life.  At this same time I met my bride to be, Sherry, and we were married on Aug. 15, 1987.  Together we served in our church at various capacities for many years.  In 1990 I graduated from Penn State University with a bachelorís degree in elementary education and immediately began teaching in a public school in PA.  During the first several years of teaching, I returned to classes myself on a part-time basis and obtained a masterís degree in education.  In Feb. 1994 we had our first child, Alesha, and in November 1995 our son, Trenton, was born.  From 2004 through 2005 we moved to Santiago, Chile as a family and served at Santiago Christian Academy, SCA, as teachers.  After praying for the Lordís direction, we felt as if we were to return to SCA and serve on a full time basis.  I retired early from teaching public education after 20 years and together Sherry and I have been involved in the ministry full time in Chile since 2011.  I am the director for the school, and Sherry teaches art and cooking classes to the students.  We love the ministry here, and we see the Lord doing big things with His children at the school.  We would love for you to prayerfully consider joining our SCA family on a short term or long term basis.
